The shelter is located on the Tauplitzalm a little out of the way on a hill.

It is a friendly and comfortable ÖAV house. In the house there are single rooms, double rooms, four-bed rooms and a camp with ten beds. Seven rooms are equipped with washbasin and shower. In all other rooms the shower and toilet are outside. From the large sun terrace you have a beautiful view of the Grimming.

The Tauplitzalm can be reached from Bad Mitterndorf via the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road. (subject to toll)

In summer you can drive up to the accommodation. In winter, the car must be left at the large parking lot on the Tauplitzalm. You will be picked up from there and brought to the farm.

via the Tauernautobahn A10, exit at Golling, continue on B162 in the direction of Lammertal, past Abtenau to Gosau, continue to Lake Hallstättersee on the B166, keep left in the direction of Bad Goisern, turn onto the B145 in the direction of Bad Aussee/Liezen

from direction Carinthia

via the A10 Tauernautobahn, take the Eben exit, continue on the B99 in the direction of Hüttau, past St. Martin am Tennengebirge to Rußbach and Gosau, continue to Lake Hallstättersee on the B166, keep left in the direction of Bad Goisern, turn onto the B145 in the direction of Bad Aussee/Liezen
